The MAP trophy stands absolutely faithful to its reputation and 20 miles won’t make much difference. For 48 hours, the 49 single-handed racers who are signed up to take part in this return-trip between Douarnenez and the Birvideaux have fought close one to another without respite, in little airs and under a leaden sky. In prototypes, the german Jorg Riechers( Mare.De) carries off at the end of an almost pre-race downhill fight with his dolphin, Guillaume Le Brec ( tva luna ) and the outsider Romain Bouchet ( Brazelleg). In serie, the podium has often moved during the return to Douarnenez but Davy Beaudart ( Nauty Mor), who is the main leader of these unfinished 180 miles, has finally got the better of François Amaury ( www.amauryfrancois.com) and of Bruno Simmonet ( El Nono ).

 A weather without wind, the difficulty, the slight and erratic breezes, all these are the nightmares of the racers on regattas. Yet, during this 2010 edition of the Marie-Agnès Péron Trophy, the racers had to sail with these stressful wind conditions. ...

3 days before the departure, they are all present, collected together in the Treboul harbour. Next Thursday, on June 3rd, 60 single-handed racers will take a run-up for the 200 sprint miles of the 6th edition of the MAP trophy. Among them, many novices ( or almost novices) of the Mini circuit and some sharpened regulars. Everybody comes here with one aim : to obtain a result and a qualification, to grade regarding the competition, but everyone is also here for the spice of this unique competition...

As for the Mini Fastnet which will celebrate its 25th anniversary, it is always a pleasure for the racers to take part in it and to honour it with their presence.
